What, to you, is the first sign of spring? Have you seen it yet?

The appearance of Dandelions AND Robins.... I've seen both :)
I totally forgot I had a vox account... I guess.... if you want to keep updated with me then you best check out myspace.... www.myspace.com/starzykat .... Long story short, John and I have been trying to buy a house again and have almost got one... except the inspection revealed that there is a lot of roof damage and the wiring is all off... our fireplace doesn't even work and neither does our washer and dryer room... at all. So if the guy doesn't fix a lot of this stuff out of his pocket then we can get out of the contract, which we want to do. Its just too much money to pay out of our pocket. The house is cheap but for the money we would be paying in repairs we could buy a more expensive house.
Other than that I'm going through a rough semester. Its okay except for math. Im pretty much failing that class. GRRRR! I've been trying to decide exactly what I want to go into and pull my required courses together. Technically, the U says I could graduate in 34 total hours... but there are a lot of requirements I need to fit into that time. It would equal 3 semesters for me, but I think its going to be 4 or so. Theres still a lot of classes I WANT to take as well. Besides, I dont feel like I've really got involved in school or anything either. I feel like I've done nothing. So... there is a lot I want and need to do! I want to take mostly online classes this semester and volunteer. I still have my job though. So I have to prioritize what I want to do. I wish I didn't have to work. Anyways...
Umm what else is going on in my life? I had a rough weekend at work last week. Im working today for another CSM. I didnt need to but I decided to help her out. Im actually on spring break. Tomarrow Im going to a birthday party for a friend at work. Friday Im going out for late drinks with a couple girls from work as well. Then its back to work. Actually I work 10-7 on Friday as well... and the same Sat and Sun. Ah well... Im hoping this week goes better!
In other news I get my wisdom teeth out April 6th so that is coming up to. Which means this is the last weekend I work and then get that weekend off and then work the next again. I dont think getting the days off will be so fun though because my mouth is going to be swollen and Im going to be on painkillers. lol.
I haven't been feeling very well lately. I've been nauseous and such. John said I was probably pregnant. I guess I could be, but I don't think so. Maybe I will take a test just in case though. Ya never know. I think it might be the weather... sinus and all that... or maybe the flu thats going around at work... or any other number of sicknesses that are going around.
Anyways... I guess thats it... I have to get ready for work.

John and I adopted a new dog named Wyatt...hes so cute! He's another pit bull but of a shorter stockier type. We found him on Dogster. The former owners say he is seven months but that is how old Kobe is and Wyatt is a lot bigger so we think he is 9 months. He is a lot more calm than Kobe but they have lots of fun together so far! here are pictures:
What's the best present you gave this year?
You know... I didn't have a lot of money to get many people gifts this year. It was really awesome just to spend time with John and our dog. I know its silly how much attention I give to my dog... Im turning out to be one of those people who treats their dog like their human son... but it was great today that he actually attempted to open a present and when he did he was so excited by what was inside. His reaction was just like an excited child and every toy we gave him he took to the same place on the couch. It was really cute. I have pictures from the day but they are on Johns laptop. I guess the best gift I gave overall was making Christmas dinner for us. I know that is weird but it really made Christmas feel more like old times and even Kobe got some dinner.
What a refreshing Holiday...
The
holiday was great even though it was just John, Kobe, and I. John has
the pictures from it so I will have to get them from him. we woke up at
7am. I cooked today!!! The turkey wasn't unthawed at that time so we
spent some time listening to Christmas music and opening presents that
my family sent. Kobe had presents too and he got as excited as a human
child about the gifts he got. Especially a small stuffed squirrel and a
stuffed canadian goose that makes a goose noise. My dad sent him some
mint flavored tennis balls that I thought were adorable but he liked
his squeaky balls better. We got him pig ears too. My gifts were mostly clothes but my
dad got me a portable DVD player and John and I a regular DVD/CD player
for our house. I got some little jewelry items and a cute pair of
sandals... umm... I had told my mom that Kobe destroyed lots of my
underpants so she bought me some new ones. hehe. I already told you
about John buying me a digital camera. I bought him some clothes, a $60
gift card to Barnes and Noble because I had forgot to bring his wish
list when I went, and a funny drinking game set. My mom was silly and
sent a muffin packet in the stocking she gave so we had muffins for
Breakfast and eggnog to drink.
For Dinner, as I said... I made
Turkey. While it was baking we took Kobe for a walk. We usually take
him at night so he got all excited to see the other people. I got
excited to see other dogs... lol. I want another one!!! ... or two....
or three! is that weird? Anyway, after that I resumed the cooking. I
made Italian Herb Turkey. I had found a recipe that was simple. I took
Italian seasoning and mixed it up with butter and spread it under the
skin over the breast of the turkey... which was very gross and very
difficult. Then butter over the top. I also put some cornbread stovetop
stuffing in the center. It turned out well!! Especially since it was
the first turkey I ever made... or the first full bird in that matter.
I used to put chicken on the rotisserie sometimes at Meijer but that
doesn't count. We also had butter & herb mashed potatoes, gravy,
corn, green beans, deviled eggs, baked apples, and even pineapple, oh
and ofcourse some bread rolls. It was a lot of food for the two of us
but very good! We drank strawberry daquiri malt coolers as well and had
dutch apple pie for desert. It was awesome! I feel cool that I made
that much food although most of it was instant... haha! We watched
Grey's Anatomy episodes in between as well. It was so much fun today.
I
actually just woke up from a nap. Of course it feels so much later
after waking up so early and sleeping! Today feels very good. John is
sleeping now. He came in to cuddle with Kobe and I... it was Kobe's
idea to take a nap! He said "Im thinking of watching tv in the living
room and coding, want to come" but now he fell asleep in there and I
couldn't sleep anymore.
I do have to work tomarrow at noon. I bet
the Customer Service desk is going to be busy but our store will
finally calm down a bit in general I think. I work three days and then
get Friday off.
Now that I found out I did relatively well this past semester, I'm looking forward to a couple classes next semester. I have one online class that is called Geography of North America, and 3 regular classes; Global Climate Change (YAY!) and US National Government (required), and College Algebra (BLEH! I had a math class but that was pre college algebra since I suck so bad). Im hoping Algebra goes better this semester, since I got a C+ last semester. I think if I get more homework done this time I will do well ;) haha. I still cannot believe I got a B- in Biology! ... wow!
Happy Holidays everyone!
John took me to get my Christmas present last night. I was explaining to him the element of surprise when dealing with gifts... but I ended up surprised anyways! He took me to Comp USA and got me a digital camera! The price on it was ... almost $400!! So I told him it better be OUR Christmas present. We talked to the associate there for a long time. He was refreshing. He knew a lot about cameras and had a real personal interest. In fact the camera we went away with was the one he said he was actually thinking about getting. Its one of the best on the market. Its a Casio Exilim Ex-z1000. It has 10.1 FRICKEN MEGAPIXELS! amazing! It has a 2.8" wide and bright LCD, 3x opitcal zoom x4x digital zoom, and a super life battery. Thats whats listed on the box... it has all kinds of other cool features... and movie stuff. I'm having a lot of fun with it so far. Here are some pics I took today and last night...
on YAY FOR WYATT!
